What is Native America Circle of Prayer (NACOP)?
In 1997, Dr. Negiel Bigpond became a part of Oklahoma Apostolic Prayer Network (OAPN), an affiliate of the Global Apostolic Prayer Network (GAPN), and accepted leadership over Okmulgee County. He was faithful to this assignment, and Native American Circle of Prayer was established with the vision for a world prayer center.
In 1999, our concept of a world prayer center was more physical than stretching our tent pegs or spheres of influence. In 2001, we received the assignment to intercede for native issues at all levels of government, and even worldwide.
Under the apostolic leadership of Dr. Bigpond, this warrior team is involved in all three levels of warfare - ground, occult, and strategic. Our assignment at this time is to "Return to the Trail of Tears." We truly are a world prayer center because of our obedience to intercede, tear down, proclaim blessings, make apostolic decrees, and build covenant relationships, not only in this great nation, but also with multiple countries. We are bringing healing to the land and its people.
In 2001 our name changed to NACOP. Native councils always sat in a circle when legislating governmental decisions regarding tribal issues. We are legislating in the heavenly realms. The Circle also represents an unending, unbroken covenant and a prayer shield over the nations.
As we walk in this authority, please declare Luke 4:18-19 and Isaiah 6:1-2a for this faithful team of warriors.
These warriors called to the "front lines" receive teaching from our Apostolic leader, we strategize and receive prayer assignments for our weekly focus. We also participate in discussions of how to establish relationship with the Native tribes.
Our assault team is at different levels of experience and maturity. We enjoy "mentoring" "mothering" and providing on the job training for those called, anointed, and appointed to this ministry.
On site assignments have taken us locally, nationally, and internationally. In God's timing, we will have an international prayer center.
A special day of prayer began in 2000 for Creek Nation, in 2002 it was extended to include the Five -Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma out of this was birthed Spirit Wind Native America Day of Prayer.
The Justice Gates prayer journey has taken us to locations in Alabama, Georgia, Tennesee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas and Louisanna as well as internationally in Africa, Cuba, Israel, and Ireland. Please pray for us as we continue on this prayer journey called the Justice Gates.
In 2006, Gathering of Eagles began. There were 16 sites identified around Tulsa that we needed to build upon to bring transformation...so we have begun to speak to the mountains identified by Peter Wagner and those in the native culture and traditions that are holding the native people from stepping through the door into our inheritances. Please pray.
